2016 Program Improvements

At Power Line Systems we continually improve our software. Below we list some of the more significant enhancements made during the year 2016. Click here for improvements made in 2015 or here for the most recent enhancements.

PLS-CADD Vegetation Work Sites - Condense thousands of vegetation violations down to a manageable number of places for remediation.

Added Line Constants calculations including: resistance, positive sequence inductive reactance, capacitive reactance, impedance magnitude, and phase angle

Improved font kerning (spacing between characters) to make text widths more consistent across zoom levels.
Now support importing survey data from LAS version 1.3 and LAZ (LAS zip) files.
Improved code support with the addition of EN50341-2-9:2015 (UK NNNA), input overrides for Z0, Lm and Cc used with EN50341-1:2012 and a EN50341-3-2:2012 (Belgium NNA) wire gust response factor option.

New options to control Framing element material generation.
Added "NESC 2017" wind and ice loading method to Loads/Vector Loads and Loads/Wire Loads.
Many more improvements described in the detailed change list accompanying upgrades.

May now display PLS-CADD wire geometry inside PLS-POLE when using PLS-CADD generated LCA or LIC file.
Input reached via Entity Info is now displayed in a "properties-style" dialog with an option to switch to a full table view.
Added "EN50341-2-9:2015" (UK NNA) wind/ice model in Loads/Vector Loads and Loads/Wire Loads.

Added "NESC 2017" wind and ice loading method to Loads/Vector Loads and Loads/Wire Loads.
